First Impressions: Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara

Guys, there’s a reason here to celebrate.

The mascara Gods have heard our prayers and have sent our way the best product ever to have graced our fluttering eyelashes.

When I purchased the Tarte Lights Camera Flashes Mascara, I was mainly purchasing for the luxurious and unique packaging. Textured, gold and a tiny bit squishy – this work of art has been designed similarly to its original form Lights Camera Lashes (which can be purchased over on QVCuk at the moment if you’re interested!) But this time it’s even more glamorous and packs a fabulous punch.

Despite having a slim denser side of the wand, the ultra-black formula coats your lashes giving them definition, extra thickness and length – what more could you ask for? The ingredients include beeswax which provides almost a barrier, preventing any of those annoying clumps you find lingering on your lashes in the middle of the day; in other words, a guaranteed a perfect lash all day long!

To apply, I firstly curl my lashes with my Shu Uemura eyelash curler; then I go in with the Lights Camera Flashes and apply by starting at the base and using a “wiggle” motion, bringing it right to the top of the lashes.

I've been applying this mascara in the morning, and I’m left with a perfectly curled lash for at least 12 hours which for me absolutely blows my beloved Benefit’s “They’re Real” mascara out of the water.

Speaking of water, they’re latest edition comes in the form of “Lights Camera Splashes”, for those who want an even more reinforced lash, able to withstand even the most watery of eyes or a day spent at the beach!

In conclusion, a super indulgent purchase and perfect for those who are looking for something different that’ll give you the doe eyes you've been dreaming of.
