A Guide to...Reds True BBQ

So, the latest in top notch food cuisine is that of gastronomic proportions. It's been on my radar for the past couple of months ever since I heard of it making it's way from it's hometown of Leeds, all the way up to Manchester - and I for one, am truly stoked.

As a lover of all things meat (oh-er), BBQ and general marvellous-ness, I couldn't wait to sample their menu, in particular their infamous doughnut burger which was sure to throw me right over the edge into an inevitable diabetic coma.

But hey, for £12.95? That's a bargain.

To honour Reds True, and in true CakedinMakeUp style, I decided to base my make-up look for my evening, based around the Southern inspired restaurant to not only fit in, but to add an air of grace to my look when I demolished a family-sized stack of ribs.

Above, I've posted a before and after picture of what look I decided to create. With the base and eyes, I went for a very classic Southern Belle look, fresh, flawless-looking skin I achieved with Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua and Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. I applied just a slight hint of blush using NYX Rose Garden. I then kept to soft, cool tones on the eyes focusing mainly on creating long, fluttering lashes using Givenchy Noir mascara

To finish off the look, I thickened and tidied up my brows and then pulled the look together with a Georgio Armani lipstick in Pink 506. This deep rose lip is iconic for a southern look and just really intensifies the face (and disguises the BBQ sauce!)

I hope this look has inspired you to match your make-up to your meal; below I've inserted some pictures of what we had while dining at Reds True, whilst it may not have been completely worth the 4 hour(!) wait, it was truly B-B-eautiful and I thoroughly recommend making the trip - just put your name down at midday if you're after an evening spot!

Do you have a "Reds" equivalent in your area? Or a recommendation that's close by? Let me know! x
