A Very Special Birthday Cake


Today I thought I’d share with you a lil’ something special; recently I created a little bit of a dream in the form of a scrumptious (if I do say so myself) cake for my other half’s birthday.

Now creating new and exciting ways to put the people you love into a sugar coma for their celebratory day can be hard work, so hopefully my recipe below will inspire you to get a little creative the next time you’re creating a cake for your someone special.

A Chocoholic's Dream


I was very lucky recently to have the delight of a delectable Chocolate Fondant Tarte pass my lips, made by my very talented mummy.

It was decadent, rich and impossibly smooth; the perfect sweet dessert for a dinner party or even for a no-occasion weekend indulgence! 

It was just so delicious, I had to get the recipe and recreate it all on my own, which is exactly what I did this weekend...

Real-Easy Rocky Road


What I love about Rocky Road is that it’s totally customisable. You can chop and change up ingredients to make a super tasty snack that you’ve thought up all on your own, and what’s more – the more specific you make it to your tastes, the less you have to share; (cue evil laughter).

But seriously, there’s very few people that dislike Rocky Road, it requires very little effort for a big tasty payoff! So let me show you how I did mine.

Skincare Spotlight: Clarins



You know those already-great Sunday’s you can often have, which are just made better by an unexpected surprise? Well, this was me last weekend.

I was having a lovely time spending Sunday at my parent’s house; catching up with my fam on the previous week, watching a Sunday movie whilst a mouth-watering beef stew bubbled away in the oven. It was then my mum exclaimed; “Oh! I forgot I have something to give you!” And she dashed upstairs only to come down holding two rectangular white boxes with the glorious red “Clarins” logo embossed onto the packaging.

“I treated us both to a bit of Clarins! Would you like to give these a try?”

My Week in Products


You know some weeks you just have a really good face week? Like you'll catch sight of yourself in a window and be like; "Dayum, this blush is really working it on my cheeks,"? 

Well, this was my face last week, and it's all thanks to my Sunday ritual. One of my favourite things to do on a Sunday (after eating my body weight in chocolate digestives obvs,) is to reorganise my make-up bag. I switch up the products from my storage so that all of my blushes, foundations, bronzers etc are getting circulated and so I can get a good idea of what products are potential faves, and what's worth a repurchase.

Recipe Review! Janes Patisserie's Oreo Chocolate Truffles



When I first saw the pictures of Janes Patisserie's Oreo Chocolate Truffles, truth be told I kinda drooled a little bit.

Oreo cookies are my absolutely favourite type of biscuit (aside from bourbons, and custard creams, and hob nobs, and....you get the idea.) Ever since discovering them on a family trip to the US back in '98, where my brother, sister and I would dunk these little fellas into tumblers of milk - I've been hooked, so incorporating them into chocolate truffles? I was fully on board.

Skin Food


When it comes to products, my all time favourite to purchase is always moisturisers - they're just so darn good!! 

I love the feeling after a long day of wearing a face, you shove your hair out the way, take your make-up off and give your face a good feed with thick, nourishing blobs of moisturiser which you can just massage into your face at your heart’s content, and give it that hearty drink it's been craving for hours.

This particular craving had come after indulging in a small slice of the good stuff at a friend’s birthday – one bite was all it took to reawaken my taste buds to remember just how much I was in love with the sweetly smooth concoction which holds that delicious crunch, heavenly!
